Sigma Nu Tau, Susquehanna University’s honor society dedicated to entrepreneurship, was awarded the Gold Outstanding Chapter Award for the fourth consecutive year by the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship.
USASBE established the Overall Outstanding Chapter Award in 2021 and presented it to Susquehanna three times in the past three years, taking first place in 2021 and 2023 and second place in 2022.
To be eligible, a chapter must host a guest speaker, multiple chapter meetings, entrepreneurial student events and a pitch competition while its members maintain a 3.2 grade point average.
“I am thrilled that our students’ hard work and commitment to our chapter have earned recognition at this level,” said Emma Fleck, professor of entrepreneurship and marketing and department head of management & marketing. “These awards truly showcase the excellence of our students, who have made our chapter a source of great pride.”
The requirements for being invited to join the Sigma Nu Tau honor society are a major or minor in entrepreneurship, a 3.2 grade point average and junior standing.
